Privacy Policy for MoneyKnow

1. Scope and platform

MoneyKnow currently supports iOS only. The app is available to users in multiple countries, and this Privacy Policy applies to international users to the extent applicable law permits. MoneyKnow is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older.

2. Information we collect

We collect and store information reasonably needed to create and manage your MoneyKnow account, authenticate your login, maintain your subscription status, sync your app preferences across devices, deliver push notifications, support app functionality, and respond to support communications.

Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

• email address;
• username, account identifier, or similar login identifier, if applicable;
• login and authentication information;
• subscription status;
• app preferences and synced settings;
• push-notification settings;
• support communications you send to us.

3. MoneyKnow account data

We store the registration and login information needed for the MoneyKnow account system. We also store subscription status and user preferences so your settings can persist and sync across devices where supported.

4. Alpaca API credentials

When you connect your Alpaca account, you provide your own Alpaca API key and secret. These credentials are stored only locally on your device using encrypted local storage. MoneyKnow servers do not store your Alpaca API key or secret.

Your Alpaca credentials are used to connect your app session to your Alpaca account so you can view account information and submit user-directed orders through Alpaca.

5. Alpaca account, order, trade, and P&L data

MoneyKnow may display Alpaca account information locally in the app, including balances, buying power, positions, open orders, order history, trade history, realized or unrealized P&L, and user-submitted order details such as symbol, side, quantity, order type, price, and timestamp.

This Alpaca account, position, order, trade, and P&L information may be displayed within the app on your device, but it is not stored on MoneyKnow servers.

6. Local storage on your device

Certain information is stored locally on your device to enable app functionality, including encrypted Alpaca API credentials and locally displayed Alpaca account and trading information. If you remove the app, clear local storage, disconnect Alpaca within the app, or replace your API keys, locally stored data may no longer be available through the app.

7. Backend processing and app functionality

MoneyKnow uses a backend to support account registration and login, provide market data, store subscription status, sync user preferences across devices, support Firebase push notifications, and operate app functionality.

MoneyKnow servers do not store:

• Alpaca API keys or secrets;
• Alpaca account data;
• Alpaca order history;
• Alpaca trade history;
• Alpaca position data;
• Alpaca P&L data;
• other Alpaca trading-account data processed only locally on your device.

8. Market data and analytics features

MoneyKnow provides market data, news, scanners, minute-level and second-level charts, and informational analytics such as buy/sell ratio, sweep events, quote imbalance, price profile, volume-at-price, liquidity or spread metrics, volatility metrics, ATR metrics, volume metrics, most-active views, and other market-data functionality.

These market data and analytics features are provided for informational purposes only. They are not personalized investment advice, trade recommendations, AI trading recommendations, automated trading analysis, or predictions of future price movement.

9. User preferences and cloud sync

We may store user preferences in the backend so settings can sync across devices. Depending on the feature set, preferences may include layout preferences, scanner settings, notification preferences, watchlist-related preferences, other non-Alpaca app settings, and subscription status.

This synced preference data is distinct from Alpaca credentials and Alpaca account, order, position, trade, or P&L data, which MoneyKnow does not store on its servers.

Watchlist-related preferences, scanner settings, and notification preferences may include ticker symbols or market interests you choose to save. We treat this information as MoneyKnow preference data. We do not use it to provide personalized investment advice, trade recommendations, or automated trading analysis.

10. Subscription status

MoneyKnow stores subscription status in order to manage access to app features. MoneyKnow currently charges a flat app subscription. MoneyKnow does not charge per trade, does not take commissions, does not receive transaction-based compensation, and does not receive compensation based on order flow, trading volume, account size, or user trading activity.

MoneyKnow is not a custodian and does not manage funds or securities for users.

We store subscription status and related account-access records. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers in the app. If payment processing is handled by a third-party provider in the future, that provider's privacy policy and terms may apply to payment processing.

11. Firebase push notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging only to deliver push notifications. Firebase may process device tokens and related technical information necessary to send notifications. Notifications may relate to app settings, market-data alerts, subscription or account notices, or app updates.

We do not use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, PostHog, Sentry, Amplitude, or similar analytics tools at this time.

12. What we do not collect

• We do not collect precise geolocation information.
• We do not store Alpaca API keys or secrets on MoneyKnow servers.
• We do not store Alpaca account, order, position, trade, or P&L data on MoneyKnow servers.
• We do not use AI to analyze your Alpaca account, positions, orders, P&L, or trading history for personalized recommendations or automated trading advice.
• We do not send marketing emails at this time.
• We do not intentionally collect diagnostic logs containing trading symbols, order details, Alpaca account data, P&L, or Alpaca credentials.

If technical logs are generated for security, debugging, or operational purposes, we design our logging practices to avoid including that information.

13. Data sharing

When you connect your Alpaca account or submit user-directed orders, your device communicates with Alpaca using the Alpaca credentials stored locally on your device. MoneyKnow servers do not store your Alpaca API key or secret and do not store your Alpaca account, order, position, trade, or P&L data.

We may share limited information with service providers as reasonably necessary to operate MoneyKnow:

• with Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications;
• with hosting, infrastructure, and service providers that help us operate the app;
• with legal, regulatory, or governmental authorities when required by law or valid process;
• in connection with protecting rights, security, or app operations where permitted by law.
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

Because MoneyKnow does not store Alpaca API credentials or Alpaca account, order, position, trade, or P&L data on its servers, MoneyKnow does not share that server-side data.

14. No sale of personal information

MoneyKnow does not sell personal information. MoneyKnow does not sell Alpaca API credentials, Alpaca trading data, or server-side Alpaca account data. MoneyKnow also does not use user trading activity to provide personalized investment advice.

We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

15. Data retention

We retain MoneyKnow account data, subscription status, synced preferences, push notification settings, and support communications for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

In general, we retain account registration data while your account is active. We retain synced preferences until you delete them or delete your account, subject to backup, security, and legal retention needs. Support communications may be retained for a reasonable period for customer service, security, and dispute-resolution purposes.

Alpaca API credentials remain in encrypted local storage on your device unless you delete them, disconnect Alpaca, revoke your Alpaca API keys, or remove the app.

16. User controls

Depending on available functionality, you may be able to:

• update or delete certain MoneyKnow account information;
• change synced app preferences;
• disconnect Alpaca from within the app;
• delete locally stored Alpaca API credentials from your device;
• disable push notifications in iOS settings;
• request access, correction, or deletion of stored MoneyKnow account data by contacting us.

17. Account deletion, disconnecting Alpaca, and revoking Alpaca keys

If you delete your MoneyKnow account, we may delete or de-identify the MoneyKnow account data we store, subject to legal and operational retention needs.

If you want to disconnect Alpaca, you can remove the Alpaca connection within the app and delete locally stored Alpaca credentials from your device. You can also revoke or rotate your API keys directly through Alpaca.

18. International users

MoneyKnow may be used by international users. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed in countries where MoneyKnow or its service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

If you access MoneyKnow from outside the country where our servers or service providers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in another country. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

19. Children and minors

MoneyKnow is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly provide accounts for children or minors under 18.

If we learn that a user under 18 has created an account, we may delete the account and associated information. If you believe a minor has provided information to MoneyKnow, please contact us.

20. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information under our control. These measures may include encrypted local storage for Alpaca API credentials, encryption in transit where applicable, and access controls for backend systems.

No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for helping protect your device, your MoneyKnow login credentials, and your Alpaca API keys.

21. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information we store for your MoneyKnow account. You may also have the right to ask questions about how your data is handled. We will review and respond to requests as required by applicable law.
