Terms of Service for MoneyKnow

1. Eligibility and platform

MoneyKnow currently supports iOS only. The service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using MoneyKnow, you represent that you are legally permitted to use the app and that your use complies with applicable law in your jurisdiction.

2. Description of the service

MoneyKnow provides software features that may include market data, news, scanners, minute-level and second-level charts, microstructure analytics such as buy/sell ratio, sweep events, quote imbalance, price profile, volume metrics, ATR metrics, preference syncing, notifications, and an interface that allows users to view certain Alpaca account information and submit user-directed buy or sell orders through their own Alpaca account.

Availability of features may change over time and may vary based on technical, market, regulatory, subscription, or provider constraints.

3. No broker, adviser, custodian, or money-manager relationship

MoneyKnow is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, custodian, money manager, or fiduciary. MoneyKnow does not open brokerage accounts, hold customer funds or securities, manage portfolios, exercise discretion over trades, or execute trades. When you submit an order through the app, the app transmits your user-directed instruction to Alpaca through your own Alpaca account connection. Alpaca, not MoneyKnow, provides brokerage, custody, and trade execution services.

4. No investment advice or recommendation

MoneyKnow does not provide investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, trade recommendations, personalized suitability analysis, copy trading, AI trading recommendations, or automated trading analysis on your Alpaca account or trading data. Market data, analytics, rankings, news, charts, notifications, and order controls are provided for general informational and software-functionality purposes only.

Nothing in the app should be interpreted as a suggestion, solicitation, endorsement, or instruction to buy, sell, hold, or modify any security or strategy.

5. User-directed trading only

All trading decisions are made solely by you. If you connect Alpaca and submit an order through the app, the order is your instruction using your own Alpaca account. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to place, modify, or cancel any order and for evaluating the risks of any trade.

6. Alpaca account connection

You may connect your own Alpaca account by supplying your Alpaca API key and secret. Your Alpaca API credentials are stored only locally on your device using encrypted local storage. MoneyKnow servers do not store your Alpaca API key or secret.

You are responsible for the security, scope, and use of your Alpaca API keys, including revoking or rotating keys through Alpaca when appropriate.

7. Third-party brokerage services

Alpaca is a third-party brokerage and API provider. MoneyKnow does not open, approve, maintain, custody, or carry Alpaca accounts and is not responsible for Alpaca's brokerage services, account decisions, order handling, executions, rejections, delays, restrictions, outages, fees, margin treatment, or regulatory obligations.

Your use of Alpaca is governed by Alpaca's own agreements, disclosures, API terms, privacy policy, brokerage rules, and operational controls. Unless expressly stated otherwise, MoneyKnow is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or controlled by Alpaca.

8. Alpaca account data and order information

The app may display account balances, buying power, positions, open orders, order history, trade history, realized or unrealized P&L, and user-submitted order details such as symbol, side, quantity, order type, price, and timestamp.

MoneyKnow servers do not store your Alpaca account, position, order, trade, or P&L data. Such information may be displayed locally on your device in order to provide the app's functionality.

9. MoneyKnow accounts, preferences, and subscription status

To provide the service, MoneyKnow may maintain account registration and login information, synced app preferences, push-notification settings, support communications, and subscription status. These service-level records are separate from your Alpaca API credentials and Alpaca account or trading data.

Information stored by MoneyKnow, such as account registration, subscription status, and synced preferences, is retained and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Subscription and fees

MoneyKnow currently charges a flat app subscription. MoneyKnow does not charge per trade, does not take trading commissions, does not receive transaction-based compensation, and does not receive compensation based on order flow, trading volume, account size, or your trading activity.

Subscription terms, pricing, and feature access may change prospectively. Any future change will be governed by the terms and disclosures then in effect.

Subscriptions renew according to the plan terms presented at checkout or within the app, if applicable. You may cancel through the method provided in the app or account settings. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable and partial billing periods are not credited.

11. Market data, news, analytics, and notifications disclaimers

Market data, charts, rankings, quote information, sweep events, quote imbalance, price profile, volume-at-price, ATR metrics, and other analytics may be delayed, incomplete, interrupted, corrected, filtered, or unavailable. MoneyKnow does not guarantee that any market data or analytics are accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or fit for any trading purpose.

News and informational content, whether created by third parties or presented by the app, are provided for context only and should not be treated as a recommendation or prediction.

Notifications, alerts, scanner updates, and real-time analytics may be delayed, missed, duplicated, inaccurate, interrupted, or unavailable. You should not rely on notifications or alerts as the sole basis for trading decisions, order monitoring, or risk management.

Market data, quotes, trades, news, and other third-party content may be subject to separate provider terms, exchange rules, redistribution restrictions, and usage limits. You may not redistribute, resell, scrape, or use market data except as permitted by MoneyKnow, applicable providers, and applicable law.

12. User responsibilities and order review

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your MoneyKnow login credentials;
• protecting your device and locally stored Alpaca API credentials;
• verifying your Alpaca account permissions and API key settings;
• reviewing order details before submission;
• position sizing, loss limits, tax treatment, and legal compliance;
• understanding the risks of intraday trading and short-term market activity.

Before submitting any order, you are responsible for reviewing the symbol, side, quantity, order type, time-in-force, price, account, market session, buying power, margin status, and any other order details. Orders may be rejected, delayed, partially filled, filled at unexpected prices, or not canceled before execution.

If your device is lost, compromised, jailbroken, shared, or accessed by another person, your locally stored credentials and trading access may be at risk. You are responsible for securing your device and revoking Alpaca API keys when appropriate.

13. Acceptable use

You may not use MoneyKnow for unlawful activity, market manipulation, fraud, unauthorized access, scraping where prohibited, reverse engineering beyond what law permits, interference with app operations, abuse of notifications or market data, or any use that harms the service, providers, or other users.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access where misuse, abuse, security risk, or legal concerns are identified.

14. International use

MoneyKnow may be used by international users. MoneyKnow does not represent that the service, Alpaca connectivity, market data, or trading functionality is appropriate, available, or lawful in every jurisdiction. You may not use the service where prohibited by law, sanctions, export controls, brokerage restrictions, market-data restrictions, or local financial regulations.

You are responsible for ensuring that your access to and use of the service is lawful in your jurisdiction.

15. Privacy

Your use of the service is also subject to the MoneyKnow Privacy Policy, which describes how account data, preferences, notifications, Alpaca credentials, and related information are handled.

16. Service changes and availability

MoneyKnow may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any feature, data feed, notification capability, or part of the service at any time, including because of technical issues, third-party provider changes, legal requirements, or product decisions.

17. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. MoneyKnow disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and accuracy of data or outputs, except where such disclaimers are not allowed by law.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MoneyKnow will not be liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, market losses, data interruption, order-routing issues arising from third-party providers, or other indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

19. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoneyKnow and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

20. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, operational integrity, or violation of these terms.

21. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version posted on this site is the version that governs your use at that time, subject to applicable law. If you continue using the service after updated terms become effective, that use may constitute acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
